Located at the iconic 100 Federal Street, this restaurant and lounge by MNM Restaurant Group is designed to be a go-to destination for both locals and visitors—a place where business lunches, casual dinners, and after-work cocktails all feel equally at home.
More than just a place to eat; Amber Road is an immersive dining destination that reflects the energy and elegance of downtown Boston. The design captures the spirit of the city—fast-paced yet inviting, modern yet rooted in craftsmanship—making it a standout in the competitive restaurant scene.

studiotyak led the interior design of the new concept, while Upland Architects partnered as the Architect of Record to help bring their vision to life—ensuring the design was both visually striking and functionally executed. The space was conceived with a focus on creating a memorable guest experience, where the ambiance is just as important as the cuisine.
At the heart of the design is a stunning cherry blossom tree that acts as a visual anchor, adding a touch of whimsy and elegance to the interior. Surrounding it is a thoughtfully designed 22-seat bar and a dramatic open show kitchen that showcases the culinary action, featuring a custom rotisserie and a signature wheel crank oven—both of which are as much about performance as they are about presentation.
The interior palette combines natural materials, soft lighting, and refined textures to evoke a cozy yet upscale atmosphere that supports the brand identity of Amber Road. Every detail was curated to balance comfort with sophistication, creating a space that encourages guests to linger—whether they’re unwinding after a long day or meeting clients for a quick, elevated lunch.
